Tech News: Apple calls Microsoft
...two weeks ago we got a call from the Apple legal department saying, hey -- this is a true story -- saying, "Hey, you need to stop running those ads, we lowered our prices." They took like $100 off or something. It was the greatest single phone call in the history that I've ever taken in business.
Haha that's pretty funny stuff that Apple is so rattled by the commercials that it has to make them incorrect by giving up profit, therefore taking a bite out of the ads in terms of value for buying a PC.
I have to admit, Apple does not want to give up its prestige it has earned. Apple has had moments where it tried to bleed too much from the stone, but it is a satisfying product. I mean really, the Mac Whitebook is still $1000 bucks and its plain and cheap next to the other ones. If it had been $800 bucks i would buy it in a second, Microsoft hits on the truth that Apple is not for everyone.
Of course, Microsoft Operating Systems are not for everyone either. But if anyone can take benefits from this it's us, computer companies trying to create better value to get your money xD

Of course for about half of that thousand dollars you could get a more beefed up Microsoft laptop, and for even less an even more powerful Desktop rig. Apple does need to work on it's prices, and just lowering their stuff by a hundred bucks is not enough to call the microsoft and give them the waaambulance treatment. I mean did microsoft call during those (admittedly humorous) mac vs P.C. commercials everyone loves so much, and those were filled with way more fallacies than the simple P.C. commercials. Not to bust any b*lls, just my two cents.
