TGS 09: No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle Video
Like, Holy shit! Shinobu! As a playable character!
to anybody who's played the first game, this is pretty fucking awesome. Also, the amount of new enemies in this trailer really make me wonder about how much new stuff they've packed into the game, not to mention the slightly more mature Killer 7 vibe I'm getting off of a lot of the stuff in the trailer. Maybe Suda 51 is going back to a bit more mature tone in this game... maybe it's just the whole decapitated head part. Either way, it makes me very excited for when the game is finally released in January 2010. Looking forward to it! Hell yeah!
TGS 09: Dead Rising 2 Trailer
Well, first let me talk a bit about the older trailers. Everything looks great, and looks a lot like Dead Rising. That's good, because I really liked the style of Dead Rising's gameplay. However, they have mother fucking chainsaws strapped to everything! holy fucking shit yes! This makes me believe that you'll be able to attach weapons to other weapons, especially since we saw the same chainsaws strapped to a motorcycle as well as a big stick (the big stick part reminded me of Darth Maul, by the way). Chuck Greene is a fairly enjoyable sort of character, and he seems similar to Frank West, which is good since I really enjoyed playing as Frank and honestly wanted him to return, so Chuck Greene seems like the next best thing.
The new trailer hints at some possible Multiplayer, maybe an online survival mode ala Gears of War 2 Horde Mode? Seems pretty plausible, and the setting of it being a futuristic gameshow seems fairly awesome, and somewhat strangely reminiscent of Smash TV.
Look forward to more info on Dead Rising 2 in the coming months, and be sure to look for it on store shelves March 30, 2010.

Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 2: The Siege of Spinner Cay Review
The second chapter picks up directly where the first one left off, which is good since the first game had a giant cliffhanger. It's nice to have an immediate answer to the question at the end of the first episode. We get introduced to some new characters, and without giving too much away... we also see and old one re-invented.
The story is a bit more large-scale than the first game, and since you now have the Screaming Narhwal, you can go more places than just the main island, Spinner Cay. Of course, this is probobly done just to make it feel as big as the old Monkey Island games, and it works nicely, even though looking at it for how much content is actually there, there's not an incredible amount of content and the game might take you 3-4 hours to finish.
The game still uses the same control scheme as the first game, which I hated at first, and it's still kind of awkward, but it's growing on me. That's not to say I wouldn't prefer the old style point-n-click controls, but this is a good alternative. The comedy is just as witty and refreshing, and I might even be inclined to say I laughed more at this chapter than the first one, not to mention early on in the game you get a book of fish jokes that, if you ever get stuck on a puzzle and don't know what to do, instead of quitting the game, you can just open up your book of fish jokes to get a new one!
Now let's talk about the puzzles. Most of the puzzles in the game are good, but some of them are just stretching it, and didn't really give you that many hints to solve them. For example, in one puzzle early on you can make two pirates turn around by pointing in a direction, and in order to solve it you need to have them do a staring contest and then make them turn around, so they turn in the right direction. These kinds of puzzles don't let you use your wit to solve them, making you just mess around until you accidentally figure it out. There's not many of these kinds of puzzles, but it's still annoying that some of them are there.
Overall, Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 2 is a charming, fun, and funny game, even if it does have a few stupid puzzles or a slightly unwieldy control scheme, and I recommend it to anybody who's a fan of the series or anyone who just wants a good laugh.
I give Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 2: The Siege of Spinner Cay a 4 out of 5.

Microsoft Announces Natal Partners
Here is the list
On that list, I note possibilities I want to see.
EA: Right now the only game published by them that I care about is Valve's Left 4 Dead, I want EA to give a Natal development kit to Valve. Wouldn't it be awesome as hell to motion control claw at people you smoke or hunt, I'm liking the idea. And since Left 4 Dead is only on Xbox (yeah yeah PC too), it's likely they will try Natal.
Activision: *hate this company* Well let's see, will they make Modern Warfare 3? If they do, it'd be nice to throw a knife at someone by motion control. Or throw a grenade, or pretend you have a satchel detonator in your hand. You guys get the idea.
Disney: Hold a Mickey Mouse doll in front of Natal and get an acheivement. Lulz.
MTV Games: They are involved with Rock Band, how about having the avatar mimic how you react while holding the guitar?
That's some of my ideas but take the news as you will of who's involved, including Hideo Kojima.

Geek Gadgets: The USB Ashtray!
The USB port is becoming one of the most widely used physical ports on the everyday computer. So much so, that cool little toys you didn’t even think you’d need or existed are being developed for your USB drive. In this series, I will call “Geek Gadgets,” I will dive into this world of craziness to see what I can find. The only restriction as to what I will talk about is the gadget MUST be a USB device.
Today’s gadget is the USB Ashtray. Whilst looking for just cool things to get I found this little useful toy. The device is a legitimate ashtray that is tastefully shaped like a car. Although I do not personally smoke, I can see how this can be useful. It would bug the hell out of me is my multi-thousand dollar laptop reeked of cigarette (or “other” smoking related item).
The little plastic car with a fan to make smoke disappear from your room (and not make everything smell) uses the USB drive OR 2AA batteries as its power source. It is also relatively small (Only taking the desk space of about an IPod). It also has a removable ashtray so you don’t have to remove the whole assembly when you need to get rid of your ashes.
For $17.00, this is a great buy. To all the smokers out there, this one is for you! Interested in buying? Here's the website.
Take a Look at This Ugly-Ass Xbox 360 Controller
Not only does this thing look like Spiderman and Venom had creepy disturbing sex and popped this thing out, but it also seems like it has some sort of texture on the black parts but not the red parts. That makes me think holding the thing would be kinda awkward.
What are they asking for this montrosity, you ask? It comes bundled with a Play & Charge Kit for $70!! Kind of outrageous, if you ask me.
Indiana Jones 5 news
Well, even though I did not see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull I have heard many negative things about it, especially about the "nuclear fridge" and the Aliens. Who the &*%$ puts Aliens in Indiana Jones, apparently George Lucas does and since he's making the Indiana Jones 5 script i'm empathetic for the next movie.
Thing is, I STILL haven't watched the 4th before I totally pan the 5th movie, but for all of you who have seen the movie here's something to interest you about Indiana Jones 5. Remember Indy's father, who is supposed to be retired from acting?
well, maybe that is not the case anymore.
Sean Connery in Indy 5, i'd like to see that. ALOT. I have to see Indy 4 now to get a better opinion of the current state of the Franchise, but if Connery is going to be on screen alot I would certainly go see that. However, let us not forget this is a negotiation stage, and it may not happen.

All Points Bulletin Gameplay Trailer Impressions
I recently saw this new APB trailer from this year's PAX. The game has kind of been an intriguing concept in the back of my mind, and I was hoping they could pull it off right. Seeing as how I haven't played the game yet I guess I'm still hoping they can, but after seeing this trailer I'm pretty re-assured.
Everythinig n the trailer just feels right. The characters and the cars look to have the level of customization from something like Saints Row, while the graphical style reminds me of GTA IV. The humor is there with the dancing part at the end, and the combat looks to be very satisfying, and seems to have some level of strategy to it.
The music is probobly my favorite part of the trailer, not because the rest of the trailer looks bad or anything, but just cause it's some sick-ass electronica groove. In fact, if they keep it up, the soundtrack might even go so far as to rival the Jet Set Radio soundtrack.
For anybody who's interested the name of the song is "Gimme That Punk" by Audio Bullys. Oh, and here's the kickass music video for it:
Be sure to look for more infromation on All Points Bulletin in the coming months and in stores when it's released in Spring of 2010.
