Aliens vs Predator: Kill Moves Trailer
Gore Gore Gore!
If the multiplayer has the same level of carnage, I am literally going to be exhausted after playing this game. I'm still debating over getting this game, but jeez it looks fun.

Project Needlemouse playable characters

SEGA has decided to tease people on their blog about the upcoming Project Needlemouse. The list couldn't be any more depressing for me but there are 11characters, 5 will be knocked off.
I'm a little nervous about this game now because it's supposed to be homaging the original games, but HOW could they not include Tails as a playable character? I know some don't like him, but he's a little higher up than say Amy. Why is there new characters on the list for a game that is trying to be like the old games?
Chip, Froggy, Charmy, Vector and Big better be coming off that list.
Also, Mr. Needlemouse is a new character?! why, WHY!
Oh well, this is just a guessing game SEGA is playing with us and i'll have to see the actual game. Sonic Unleashed wasn't too bad when I tried it, but the werehog concept was pretty stupid. However, I will have to acquire a copy before I properly slam that game as bad. I've been riding the bandwagon on Sonic Unleashed but I really want to believe Sonic Team did some good things that will carry over into Needlemouse.
One can hope the Sonic Team can get it right this time, the only good thing I can say is that Sonic Team seems to avoid canon. Well, I actually hate that they don't stay true to SatAM the tv show. I am glad I don't see characters like Cream on there as a playable character, she's a pretty pointless character. This also means we won't see the damn werehog experiment again, and being 2D I can't see the characters being voiced. Good, because having the 4kids actors doing them is something I don't want in light of the awful job 4kids did on Sonic X.
Once a Sonic fan, always a Sonic fan. If SEGA is trying to reach fans like me, they better have made a good game.

Edit: it's not new, but for some reason many of us didn't notice it.

Microsoft Announces Natal Partners

Here is the list
On that list, I note possibilities I want to see.
EA: Right now the only game published by them that I care about is Valve's Left 4 Dead, I want EA to give a Natal development kit to Valve. Wouldn't it be awesome as hell to motion control claw at people you smoke or hunt, I'm liking the idea. And since Left 4 Dead is only on Xbox (yeah yeah PC too), it's likely they will try Natal.
Activision: *hate this company* Well let's see, will they make Modern Warfare 3? If they do, it'd be nice to throw a knife at someone by motion control. Or throw a grenade, or pretend you have a satchel detonator in your hand. You guys get the idea.
Disney: Hold a Mickey Mouse doll in front of Natal and get an acheivement. Lulz.
MTV Games: They are involved with Rock Band, how about having the avatar mimic how you react while holding the guitar?
That's some of my ideas but take the news as you will of who's involved, including Hideo Kojima.

Sega Announces New Sonic Game
I left an important fact out, it's 2D, and it's returning to its nostalgic roots.
Okay I have to say that trailer excited me a little, 2D is a step in the right direction. Sega has listened to fans, and perhaps this upcoming game could break the chain of disappointment.
Originally obtained by this 1UP article, the game is going to be HD and hopefully it will be a success to age old Sonic fans like me and Rob. Next stop, Sega console? :D Jaleel White voicing this Sonic?

Retrogen Diary: The Beginning
Hey guys, due to my prolonged wait for my Retrogen Handheld I have decided to keep a log on my progress while I wait for it. What is the Retrogen you may ask?
A handheld Sega Nomad remake with three to four times the battery life with all the awesome abilities of the original except for the two player mode. It's smaller and licensed by Sega to the point that it will have new games for it and will be compatible with every game and even region free. Are you drooling yet?

So to start off this wonderful account of waiting for something I really wanted, here is the first log in my Diary:

What, was the writing above not enough for you. Besides, it's good to have fiber in your diet.

Alpha Protocol Impressions
You guys might not know this, but I'm pretty excited for Alpha Protocol. I've heard a lot of people giving it some flak for it's graphics, but it seems like the team is definitely focused on making a good game first and foremost. The graphics don't look horrible either, and are definitely comparable to something like Mass Effect. In this new developer walkthrough Matthew Rorie takes us through many different parts of the game... and personally, I'm more excited than ever! One of the things he takes a look at is Customization, you'll be able to customize everything about your character, there's tons of different clothes, hairstyles, hats, glasses, beards. Sure, that's nothing new, but you'll also be able to customize your play style. If you want to be a stealthy character, sure. If you want to be a character who uses a lot of gadgets, sure! Wanna go in guns blazing? awesome. You can tailor your weapons and armor like never before, and also choose a good load-out based on how you want to tackle a mission.
The biggest RPG element of the game comes in the form of various stats you can level up throughout the game. The game works on a point-system and you'll disperse them into many different categories such as stealth, martial arts, hacking, etc. The game works much like KotoR in that after leveling up a skill enough, you'll get a new ability from it.
In the game, you can go between many different safehouses as well, which I find to be pretty damn cool. You travel to many different locations around the world, such as Moscow, Saudi Arabia, or Rome, and it looks so much like you're living the life of a secret agent.
Alpha Protocol is looking to be another quality RPG from Obsidian, and I'm definitely excited for it. Look for it in stores October 6th later this year.

Disney's Aladdin on Sega Genesis Review
I've done enough Nintendo, and even though my Genesis needs to be fixed I decided to try a game anyway. Disney's Aladdin, i'm a big fan of the movie and a Disney Renaissance fan at that, so of course I hoped the game would be nice. I distinctly remember playing it in my childhood a lot, it's a good game but it's got bugs.
In the prison level, there are these exploding skeletons you almost cannot avoid taking damage from unless you kill them. Ironic it is to kill a skeleton. The bosses are OKAY so far. The enemies in general are fine but sometimes they get a hit on me even if they don't make contact, guess it has to do with me going closer to swat the enemies a lot.
There are common sense physics issues with the game, on the prison level I kept falling through cement blocks. On the first level i couldn't go up the stairs without walking back to the beginning of the stairs. I tried jumping to save time of course, and yet on the prison level i COULD jump through the landings.
I wish the music was better, it's not BAD music. But in my boredom, the music made me kinda depressed and seemed a bit too fast paced. It repeats over and over, but changes every level. The transitional music is creepy and cheezy at the same time. It kind of prevents me from enjoying the game sometimes, because it seems distracting.
I've only gotten as far as escaping after i got the lamp, i can't get past that moment for some reason. There's this jump I can't seem to make while having to do it fast because a boulder is about to crush me.
So overall the games good, recommended for fans of the movie.
I give it a 3 out of 5
