Geeksquisite Question of the Day #1: 7/10/09

I think the title explains it all but quickly let me expand on it further. The question of the day will be posted 7 days a week 365 days a year or at least we will do our best too. I'll usually post them but in the event I can't I'll just have a fellow author post it.

If you'd like to submit a question just send an e-mail to geeksquisite@gmail.com with the subject line Question of the Day.

Question #1:

What is your best Geeky memory?

Feel free to leave your answers in the comment section, thank you.

  2. My best geeky memory would have to be playing Phantasy Star Online straight for 2 or 3 days, no sleep, maybe just a few breaks for lunch and dinner, but I still kept the Dreamcast on.

Funny thing is, I didn't have cable back then, so I was using the old-skool dial up modem, and had the phone cut off for a few days, haha! :P

  3. My best geeky memory was playing Rock Band last June on my front lawn with the neighbors for 3 straight hours. We set up a table with the xbox and a projector screen and all the other junk, and we projected...idk maybe 75 inches off the side of my dad's trailer. Most awesome feeling ever, I have to get a chance to do it again sometime.

  4. My best best geeky memory was when PHP (A web site coding language for those who don't know) and started to do all of this stuff with it, then when I tried running it, it didn't work. :( But I can still do basic things with it like database stuff.

  5. My best geeky memory was the hype leading up to every Lord of the Rings film. I was 12 when the first one came out and me and my Dad were able to bond during these films like never before or ever since. For three years me and my Dad would get excited and talk about the books and the movies and the history of them it was great. I remember once at a movie theater for Return of the King we were late and had to sit in the first row. We thought it would suck but it turned out being the greatest theater experience I've ever had. It was sold out and when the Pelennor Fields battle happened it might as well had been real. We were so close and front and center you couldn't see anything but screen. The greatest geeky memory I have.

  6. My most GEEKY moment took place while I was trying to figure out a Silent Hill 2 puzzle. The puzzle was intended to open a briefcase. You had to figure out what word was going to open the case. There were four dials, making answer a four lettered word.. I read every document to try to figure out what the word was, all of which gave me no answers.. I tried every four letter word I could think of, even foul ones. Still, a closed case. I thought to myself I've got a gun and a damn crowbar why am I tring to figure out this puzzle. Finally my brother past by me singing Ring of Fire, by Johnny Cash, and was at the Down Down Down part.. Eureka!!That was it!!! DOWN.. OF ALL WORDS DOWN.

  7. I have too many geeky memories, but this one time I was staying with my grandmother and someone in the apartment above us was playing the Mortal Kombat techno song over and over ALL night. I was sitting there like, holy shit. I know that song! So I went up to their apartment and kicked down the door and challenged them. Good times.
