Tech Review: Toki Tori (iPhone App)

If you enjoy working out puzzle with a game that has great graphics and cool sounds, this would be a game to look into. When I first saw this game I thought it was to be a little going to be a little childish and really easy, but I was bored so I got it. After a few levels, I was starting to get really entertained. There are all sorts of puzzles you need to work your way through. If there is a special object that you can use (such as putting down a bridge, introduced right after Level 1), it explains it to you before you start the game to make sure you use it right. It’s a very easy to navigate around the levels, from where ever you are, you just tap the location you want to go to and if you can get there with no obstacles blocking you, then it will go for you otherwise it will create a circle of X’s.

This game is really fun and easy to play, and after the first few levels I’m sure you will get almost addicted to it. I really enjoy it and play it a lot, maybe once a week. You can either buy the full version (Currently 80% off, selling at $0.99) or you can try the lite version in the App Store.

Tech Review: iPhone/iPod Touch 3.0 OS

Personally, if I would have known what the new OS would be like first, I would have not spent the $10. It just has features that should have been there all along. The only new one I really like is the Spotlight search and shake to shuffle, other than those I don’t use anything else that came with the update. The following really made iPhone users mad, it was taken from the iPhone 3.0 software update page: MMS support from AT&T coming in late summer. MMS is not supported on first-generation iPhone. Sending video via MMS is not supported on iPhone 3G. MobileMe seems like something that I would use and find very useful, but I am not paying $100 a year for it. Cut the price in half and sure, I would totally get it.

Overall I do not think this was a good update, it just had everything that apple should have included in the past. I really wished Apple could have done a little bit better. Hopefully soon they will come out with something amazing that wasn’t expected to be in the iPhone/iPod touch in the beginning.

Tech News: iPhone 3.0 update

The new iPhone update has everything that everybody wanted when the iPhone and iPod touch first came out. Since the iPhone first came out I have heard so many complaints about not able to send pictures in text messages. Well its finally here. There are tons of new features in the new OS that everybody has been waiting for. As always iPhone users will get it for free but iPod touch users (like myself) will have to pay $9.95.

With the new OS on its way, Apple has also released a new iPhone, the iPhone 3G S. Apple has made several new improvements such as: 2x faster, built-in video camera, Voice control, Compass, Spotlight Search, and MMS. The new iPhone 3G S is priced at $199 and the old iPhone 3G will be brought down to $99!

When I first saw this game, I thought it would be a little boring... Well I was so wrong! I played the first challenge and could not stop! I was tilting my iPod touch all over. The main goal of this game is to bounce apples off Newton's head to gain points. At first, thats all you have to do, nice and easy. But as you progress it starts to get harder with flying arrows, bombs, reverse gravity and more.
